How To Put HS Codes QuickBooks Online
What are HS-Codes?
HS codes, also known as Harmonized System Codes, are standardized numerical codes used to classify products in international trade. They are unique codes that identify and describe a product or service.
Step 1
LOCATING THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
- log in your QUICKBOOKS accounting system
- check to the left side of your screen for the dashboard
- click sales > products and services
STEP 2
VIEWING THE PRODUCT
- A list of the registered products and services will appear
- click "edit " to view the specific product deeper
STEP 3
INSERTING THE HS-CODE
For a given product name like:
"Plastic Chair"
And its HS CODE is: 94037009
You would modify the "NAME" field to:
"[94037009] Plastic Chair"
Rule Recap:
Start with two brackets
[]Insert the HS CODE inside the brackets
Leave one space after the closing bracket
]Then the product name starts
Click "SAVE AND CLOSE" at the bottom right corner
