Odoo and Fiscal Harmony Integration

Overview

Prerequsites

Please kindly note that in order to integrate with ODOO, you will need to:
  1. Engage the ODOO accounting service provider to host the FISCAL HARMONY plug-in on system's database, whether it is hosted online or locally. Attached here is link to download the FISCAL HARMONY plug-in:[ Download the FISCAL HARMONY ODOO PLUG-IN here]

Instructions for Fiscal Harmony API Integration with Odoo

Please follow the steps below after the installation has been completed in the database.

Step 1. Collect API Details from the Client’s Fiscal Harmony Portal

  1. Log in to the client’s Fiscal Harmony app on https://app.fiscalharmony.co.zw/ with their credentials.
  2. Navigate to the API section and collect the following details:
    1. API Key
    2. API Secret

Note: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) may be required. It is recommended to use Google Authenticator for this process.

Step 2. Apply API Keys in Odoo

  1. Log in to the Odoo Accounting System.
  2. Go to Apps > Fiscal Harmony > Fiscal Harmony API Settings.
  3. Fill in the following details:
    1. Configuration Name: (Use the Company Name)
    2. Company Name
    3. API Key
    4. API Secret
  4. Click Test Connection. A User ID will be assigned to the device and displayed at the top right corner (as shown in the image below, if available).
  5. Copy this User ID and paste it into the Fiscal Harmony User ID field.

Step 3. Tax Mappings

  1. Click Sync Device Taxes. Taxes available in the Odoo system will be fetched automatically.
  2. Under the Odoo Tax column, map each tax correctly according to the tax type (e.g., 15%, 0%).
  3. Save each tax mapping individually.

Step 4. Currency Mappings

  1. Map each Currency in ZIMRA with the corresponding Currency in Odoo.
  2. Click Save for each currency.
