Overview: This guide provides the steps to integrate Sage Pastel with Fiscal Harmony for fiscalization of invoices and credit notes, ensuring compliance with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).
1. Installation Process:
- Download the Plugin:
- Access the plugin installer from this Google Drive link.
- Download the

- Install the Plugin:
- Run the installer on your computer.
- Open the DDF installer and navigate to the appropriate database.
- Setup in Fiscal Harmony:
- Open the Fiscal Harmony application and click on the “Setup files” tab.
- Enter the company/organization name.
- Choose the Tax method for prices in Sage Pastel.
- Input your API key and API secret provided by Fiscal Harmony.
2. Establishing Connections:
- Fiscal Harmony Connection:
- Select the appropriate Driver for your setup.
- Choose the Database Type (e.g., Sage Pastel, Palladium, or Sage Evolution).
- Enter the Database Name that is connected to your accounting system.
- If the database requires credentials, provide the username and password.
- Test the connection to ensure it is working correctly.
- Save Organization Details:
- After the connection is successful, save your organization's details.
3. Currency and Tax Mapping:
- Map Currencies:
- Click on “Currency Mappings” in the Fiscal Harmony application.
- If you are using multi-currency in Sage Pastel, map your currencies to the corresponding ZIMRA currencies.
- For single-currency setups, set the default currency to the corresponding ZIMRA currency.
- Map Taxes:
- Click on “Tax Mappings” to map the tax rate codes in Sage Pastel to the appropriate ZIMRA tax rates.
4. Custom Fields for TIN and VAT Numbers:
- Set Custom Fields:
- In Sage Pastel, set up the custom fields for TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) and VAT (Value Added Tax) numbers.
- Click the combo boxes in the Fiscal Harmony application and select the fields you wish to use.
- Ensure that the TIN is exactly 10 digits and the VAT number is exactly 9 digits in the user-defined fields in Sage Pastel.
