Updating Excel template to the VAT Tax rate

Overview

If you are currently having issues with updating your VAT from the old tax rate to new tax rate (i.e. 15% to 15.5% as of January 1st 2026), the following instructions are on how to update it on your Fiscal Harmony Template. This also includes any issues involving updating the tax ID on the configuration where it notifies the user that it is failing e.g. "Tax fiscal lD no longer available: 1".

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Navigating to the configuration

  1. Open your Fiscal Harmony Invoice template from the File menu or the menu where you create a new file.
  2. When the file is open, navigate to the Fiscal Harmony tab and select it.
  3. On the tab, select Manage Accounts. This should open a window to show the details of your account and API keys.

Step 2: Performing the updates

  1. In this window, you do not have to change anything. Make sure you have an internet connection and click the "Save" button so that the system will update automatically.
  2. When the application confirms the save:
    1. Close Excel.
    2. Then Reopen Excel.

Step 3: Confirming changes

  1. Open the template again and navigate to the column with the VAT Tax. If you click on the cell's dropdown, you should be able to see the new VAT tax rate.
  2. Check your other invoices for the current year to see if the invoices have been updated as well.
  3. You may make a test invoice to see if the changes are reflecting the new tax rate.
