A workflow refers to an automated set of actions that are triggered when certain conditions are met in a specific module like invoices, credit notes, expenses, etc. Workflows help automate business processes, reduce manual work, and ensure consistency in actions like approvals, notifications, and status changes.
Step 1
Go To Settings
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- This opens the Settings menu.
Step 2
Add Workflow Automation
Go to > Automation > Workflow Rules.
Click “+ New Workflow Rule”.
Choose Module: Credit Notes.
This helps automate reviews for high-value returns or suspicious patterns.
Step 3
Edit Workflow Details
- Select Workflow Type as Event Based
- Select Action Type as Created or Edited
- Select Execute the workflow when as Any field is updated
- Select Execute when the record is as Edited for the first time
- Click Next
Step 4
Adding Immediate Action and Criterion
- Click Edit on IMMEDIATE ACTIONS
- Link the workflow the credit note webhook
NB: At this stage at least two criteria are expected, please note you can use any other criteria that are not credit note and ref#
