1. Overview of HS Codes

Harmonized System (HS) Codes are standardized numerical classifications used globally to identify and categorize traded products. These codes ensure uniformity in customs declarations, tariffs, and trade documentation.


Key Features of HS Codes:

  • 8-digit standard (internationally recognized).
  • No symbols (commas, periods, or spaces).
  • Unique to each product type .


2. Step-by-Step Guide to Using HS Codes in Fiscal Harmony Template

 

ColumnInstructions
DescriptionEnter the product name or service being sold.
QuantityInput the number of units sold.
Unit PriceEnter the price per unit (without taxes).
TotalAutomatically calculated (Quantity × Unit Price).
TaxClick the dropdown to select the applicable 
tax rate
DiscountEnter the exact discount amount 
(not percentage).
HS Code    
Manually input the 8-digit HS code 
(no copy-pasting).


Important Notes for HS Codes:

  1. Must be 8 digits (e.g., 12345678).
  2. No commas, dots, or spaces (e.g., 12.34.56 or 12,345,678 is invalid).


Find HS Codes:

  • Use Google search (e.g., "HS code for [product]").
  • Avoid copying and pasting—type manually to prevent formatting errors.


Step 3: Fiscalizing the Invoice

  1. Save the Excel file.
  2. Navigate to the Fiscal Harmony tab.
  3. Click "Fiscalize Invoice" to generate the tax-compliant invoice.
